Charles Wyckoff, 86, of Hawley, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4th, 2025, at Serenity Care Hospice in Hamilton with his loving family by his side.Chuck, as he was known to friends and family, was born in Trenton, NJ and lived in Merchantville, NJ before settling in the Lake Wallenpaupack area in 1969. Chuck graduated from Pennsauken High School and the University of Pennsylvania. He was the owner and proprietor of Pep’s Inn in Tafton, PA on the shores of Lake Wallenpaupack from 1969 to 1986.
Chuck was a hard worker. He had a dry and witty sense of humor, and always made people laugh. He will be remembered fondly for his sarcasm and insightful stories that, in his words, “were not always true, but always entertaining.” Chuck loved sports, particularly his beloved Phillies, and played baseball and golf. His favorite ball players to watch were his grandchildren.
Predeceased by his parents Charles Theodore and Dorothy (née Ashton) Wyckoff and brothers Larry and David; he is survived by his wife Patricia (Williams) Wyckoff, his brother and sister-in-law William and Kay Wyckoff of Hawley , PA, his sister-in-law Judy Wyckoff of Barnegat Light, his son and daughter-in-law Charles and Samantha Wyckoff of Dover, PA, his daughter and son-in-law Carol and Charlie Peake of Lake Ariel, PA, his daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Joseph Muni of Hamilton, NJ, and his daughter Robyn Kopinetz of Pine Grove; his (11) grandchildren Elizabeth, David, Luke, Caleb, Jasmyn, Ervin, Michael, Trisha, Emily, Noelle and Holly. He is also survived by his many great-grand children, nieces and nephews.
As per his wishes, there will be no public service.
