In Loving Memory of Christine G. Ritter (Sunrise December 1, 1953 - Sunset March 6, 2021).
Christine Geneva Ritter, was born on December 1, 1953 in Trenton, New Jersey to Earthaleen Ritter and Joseph Ritter. She was a member of Union Baptist Church, Shiloh Baptist Church, and an Eastern Star for most of her life. Affectionately known as “Chris”, she attended Trenton Public Schools and Strayer University. She was employed by Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory for many years prior to retiring. Chris’ charitable and outreach work included organizing, obtaining grants and scholarships for Trenton Public School students. Her passion for the future of underserved youth, led her to encourage students to further their education in undergraduate and graduate STEM programs and careers. She was an invaluable resource for educators in the field of Science, locally and nationally.
Christine G. Ritter, was predeceased by her sister Josephine Ritter, parents Earthaleen Ritter and Joseph Ritter. She leaves behind her brother, Willie J. Ritter, Jr. (Margeretta), her nieces and nephew: Regina L. Ritter, William Joseph Ritter (Marla), Jacqueline L. Ritter-Person (Spencer), great-nieces and nephews: Britley M. Ritter, Ciara L. Stewart, William J. Ritter IV, Naquil J. Ritter, Jahmai S. Person and Ta’Nyia J. Ritter, and a great-great niece: Brielle J. Ritter. She will be missed by all, including her many family members, longtime friends and supportive neighbors.
In consideration for all, there will not be a service due to COVID-19 Coronavirus safety precautions. Sadly, we can’t be together to celebrate at this time and are not able to have visitors and well-wishers at the family home.
A private virtual memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.
