Hattie Jane Seefelt

June 27, 1930 — April 11, 2024

Hamilton Township, NJ

Beloved mother, grandmother and friend Hattie (Jadwiga Czarnecki) Seefelt, 93, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2024 with her loving family by her side.

Born and raised in Trenton, Hattie lived in Hamilton Square for 60 years and faithfully attended St. Gregory the Great Church. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren, happily leaving her factory job in East Trenton as soon as she married to start a family. She enjoyed her grandchildren’s recitals and sporting events and loved spending time with them at the Jersey shore, Atlantic City, parades, holidays and birthday parties. Although some grandchildren lived far from her, she never missed a birthday and would have a drawer full of cards to hand out when they visited. Hattie loved to polka with her husband Robert, often traveling to the Poconos with friends for polka weekends, and actually loved doing everything with Robert—they were like Batman and Robin. She also loved to crochet slippers and blankets to give away as gifts while Robert watched the Phillies, Flyers and Eagles on tv.

Predeceased by her parents Josef and Kamila Czarnecki, her husband Robert A. Seefelt, sister Josephine Koval and brother Richard Czarnecki, she is survived by her children Daniel (Kaia Lee) Seefelt, Kenneth (Val) Seefelt, Joanne (Chuck) Elliott and Sandra (Marcus Padulchick) Amarti; grandchildren Kjetil, Haakon, Kalle and Lars Seefelt, Camille (Zach Barby) Seefelt and Harrison Seefelt, Corrin and Alaina Elliott, and Sadie Amarti; her sister-in-laws, Sandra Kearns and Nancy Todd, and many nieces and nephews.

Services and Interment with her late husband at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Hattie’s memory to Meals on Wheels Mercer County by visiting www.mealsonwheelsmercer.org To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Hattie Jane Seefelt, please visit our flower store.
