James Irwin Albert, or "Jim/Jimmy" as he was known, decided to cash in his chips and join the
high rollers in the sky on March 16, 2024, at 74. Born in the Bronx, NY, on August 5, 1949, Jim
was a man who knew that life was a game best played with a full deck of love, laughter, and a
little bit of luck.
Jim was the king of his family's hearts, dealing out love and guidance to his beloved wife,
Dianna, and their children, including son Dan and his late wife, Gwen, daughter Jennifer and her
husband, Troy, son Benjamin, and daughter Jessica and her husband, Nick. His grandchildren,
Kylee, Gabe, Jaden, Easton, Drew, and Colt, were the aces up his sleeve, always bringing a
twinkle to his eye.
A man who never folded under pressure, Jim spent his career in the vibrant world of food
service, shipping, and packaging. He was known for packing a punchline as well as packing a
lunch. He was a true 'Jack' of all trades
Jim is predeceased by his mother, Helen, father, Anthony, and sister, Ginger. Jim’s siblings,
Anthony (Silvia), Janice (Leroy), Mark, and Gary (Dorothy), will fondly remember him, always
ready to shuffle up and deal a good time. Those wishing to honor Jim's memory can place their bets on a good cause by donating to the
American Heart Association. It's a safe bet that Jim would have loved the idea of his memory
contributing to a full house of healthy hearts. As we say our goodbyes, let's shuffle through our memories of Jim and pick out the best ones to
cherish. After all, in the game of life, Jim reminded us that it's not about holding the best cards,
but playing those you have with a smile.
As per his wishes, there will be no services. Cremation arrangements have been made. Your
condolences are greatly appreciated.
