In the quiet embrace of his sleep, James “Jimmy” D. Everdean Sr. departed this world on October 23, 2025, in his beloved Lawrence Twp, NJ. Born on November 15, 1951, in Elizabeth, NJ, Jimmy was a beacon of warmth and kindness, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Jimmy was a devoted husband to his wife of 22 years, Judy, and a dedicated father to his children Lili, Jimmy Jr., Katie, and Mandy. His heart overflowed with love for his grandchildren: Jayden, Alexis, Aubrey, Jiannah, Jaxson, Juliette, Colton, and Lorelei, who were the light of his life. As the eldest brother to Christine and Raymond, he was a guiding force and a cherished uncle to many.
A passionate fan of the Giants and Yankees, Jimmy found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including his love for bowling. His commitment to service was unwavering, as a proud member of the VFW, The Good Fellows, and the American Legion. His deep, caring voice and boundless compassion for unity among family and friends were hallmarks of his character.
Jimmy lived a life of service, always ready to offer a positive remark, no matter the situation. His presence was a gift, and his memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him. We welcome you to join us in celebrating the life of a gentle giant whose heart knew no hate, whose laughter filled every room, and whose love for family, friends, and the Giants will echo warmly in our hearts forever.
