Manuel de Jesus Pineda de Leon

Born in Guatemala City to the late Juan Pineda Garrido and the deeply cherished Zoila Prudencia de Leon Letona, Manny was a beacon of love and strength. A man of unwavering faith, he embraced life's challenges with grace, always leaning on God's guidance. His journey led him to New Jersey in 1992, where he laid down roots and built a sanctuary for his cherished family.

Dedicated husband to his life partner of over five decades, Evangelina Cruz de Pineda, Manny's legacy as a devoted father shines through his children: Cynthia Elizabeth, Mircea Paola, Nuria Patricia, Juan Manuel, and Maya Quetzaly. Each of his children found love and support in their lives with Sharif, Gloria, Susan, and Carlos, their respective spouses, whom Manny welcomed with open arms as part of the family.

His grandchildren, Jamie Angely, Emma Elena, Lucas Manuel, Jenny, Sean, and Michael will lovingly carry forward tales of their cherished "Papa Meme."

Manny shared a special bond with his mother-in-law, Delfina Cruz, whom he deeply respected and loved. While his relationship with his brothers, Hugo and Anibal, had its complexities, the times they shared were filled with unforgettable memories. Their dynamic, though occasionally challenging, was a testament to the intricate nature of familial ties. On the evening of September 28, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones, Manny was called home. As he reunites with his parents, Juan and Zoila, and his siblings Alicia, Ana, and Mario in the heavens, those of us left behind will hold onto memories, celebrating the love and lessons he graced us with.
