Nancy A Sandmeyer

June 24, 1963 — December 19, 2023

Roebling, NJ

Roebling, New Jersey – Nancy Ann Sandmeyer, a devoted mother, sister, and cherished member of her community was called home on December 19th 2023 at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on June 24th, 1963 to Robert and Dorothy Ledbetter in Belleville, NJ, Nancy grew up with her brother, William Ledbetter, in Morristown, NJ.

Nancy dedicated her life to her family and her faith. She was an active member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ewing, NJ, where she served in various capacities, including leading the church’s after-school program and music ministry team. Her unwavering faith and commitment to serving others were evident to all who knew her.

She was a devout believer in Jesus Christ, whose faith was the cornerstone of her life. Happy She walked in His light daily, her actions a testament to her deep and enduring faith. Nancy found great joy in her relationship with Christ, and it is with peaceful hearts that her family announces that she has gone to be with our Lord and Savior. Her departure, though sorrowful for those she leaves behind, is celebrated as her entry into eternal glory. In life, she spread the love of God through her kindness, patience, and unwavering belief, and now, she rests joyfully in the promise of her faith, embraced by the divine love she so fervently believed in.

In addition to her spiritual commitments, Nancy committed over four decades of her life to nurturing young minds as a beloved teacher, tutor, and mentor. With a passion for education, she crafted a classroom environment that was both a haven of imagination and a foundation for lifelong learning. Her teaching style blended compassion and creativity, encouraging her students to explore, question, and grow. Nancy's impact extended beyond the classroom walls; she mentored new no teachers, engaged with parents to foster a community of learning, and continuously sought innovative methods to inspire her young charges.

She was a loving mother and took immense pride in her daughter’s achievements and joys. Her home was a place of warmth and laughter, filled with love.

Nancy leaves behind a loving family who will continue to honor her legacy: her devoted daughter, Chelsea Helgeson; son-in-law, Andrew Helgeson; her caring brother, William Ledbetter, and her beloved family friend, Brian Horan.
