In Loving Memory of Paul William Wojciechowicz
November 10, 1976 – May 30, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paul William Wojciechowicz, age 48, of Hamilton, New Jersey, who peacefully departed this life on May 30, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Paul was a beacon of strength, humor, and heart. Leaving an unforgettable mark on everyone lucky enough to know him.
Paul was a man who could build or fix just about anything. A talented and hardworking contractor, he took pride in his work and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. His work ethic was second only to the love he had for his family.
Above all else, Paul’s greatest pride and joy was his marriage to Shawn Rossetti Wojciechowicz. Together for nearly 16 years, their love was unwavering and deeply rooted, the kind that everyone around them could feel. They were true partners in every sense, facing life’s joys and hardships side by side, including both of their battles with cancer. If you knew them, you knew they were each other’s ride-or-die. Bonnie and Clyde in sneakers and sweatpants. Paul adored Shawn. He loved her completely, unapologetically, and with every part of who he was. She wasn’t just his wife, she was his best friend, his strength, and his home. Their connection was rare, a once-in-a-lifetime kind of love that carried them through everything. He never stopped showing her how much she meant to him, in the big ways and the small. To Paul, loving Shawn was the easiest and truest thing he ever did.
Together, Paul and Shawn built a family they affectionately called “Paul and Shawn plus 5.” He was the proud father of Gabbie (forever in their hearts), Sierra, Mackenzie, P.J., and Alexa. He was also a devoted Poppop to Alaiyah, Kaylee, Elena, Aria, and Tino, with one more grandbaby on the way.
Paul had a truly special bond with his granddaughter Alaiyah, lovingly nicknamed “Stink.” From the day she was born, he stepped in as a father figure, protector, and provider. Their relationship was rare and deeply meaningful. A connection that shaped both of their lives. His love for Aria was equally heartfelt, always making her feel seen, heard, and completely adored. That was just the kind of Poppop he was.
He didn’t just raise his own, he helped raise a neighborhood. Paul was always outside tossing a football, playing games, or just being a solid presence for the kids around him. He was a coach, a jokester, a mentor, and a protector. Always with a laugh ready and a lesson tucked in there somewhere.
Paul loved all sports, but football was his passion. Whether he was quarterbacking in the backyard or dominating in the local leagues, everyone knew him as the guy who gave it his all and made it fun. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, standing by his team with the same loyalty and passion he showed in every part of his life.
He found joy in the simple things: music, quiet evenings watching TV with Shawn, and just being surrounded by the people he loved most. He loved betting on sports and spending time with his granddaughter Alaiyah, making TikToks together, giving her pedicures, and sharing those special moments that brought him so much happiness. Anything that meant spending time with Shawn and Alaiyah truly made his day.
Paul is predeceased by his father, Robert Wojciechowicz; his father-in-law, Frank Rossetti; and his beloved daughter, Gabbie. He is survived by his devoted mother, Marian Wojciechowicz Castro, and his stepfather, Johnny Castro, who stood by him through thick and thin. Paul had a meaningful connection with his mother, whose steady presence and quiet strength were a constant source of comfort. He also leaves behind his loving sister, Venus, and her fiancé, Chris. Venus was a constant source of support and love throughout Paul’s life, especially during his illness, holding a special place in her heart for her brother. Paul also shared a lifelong bond with his cousin Rich, who stood closely by his side in his final months, offering support, comfort, and brotherly love when it was needed most. He is also survived by his brothers Bobby, Jeffrey, and Robert and as a proud godfather and uncle to Gardo, Tony, and Dominique.
Paul will be deeply missed by his family, his extended family, and the many friends, including Roy and George, who were more like brothers than buddies. His laugh, his loyalty, and his love will live on in all of them.
As we remember Paul, we celebrate the happiness he shared and the lasting impact he made on all of us. Though he is deeply missed, his spirit and love will remain with us always.
