Reed Evans Higginbotham

Reed E. Higginbotham, 77 passed away Tuesday, August 25th at his home after a battle with bladder cancer. He was surrounded by family and friends at the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Eartha Higginbotham, his brother William “Teddy” and his brother Moses. He is survived by his daughter Kendra from Yardley Pa, his son Deshawn Feliciano (Regina) from Lawrenceville, NJ, brothers Reginald (Bonnie) from Brown Mills, NJ and Monroe from Ewing, NJ, sister Eartha Joy from Hamilton, NJ and a host of grandchildren, nephews and cousins. He leaves behind a special friend, Eula Wright from Ewing, New Jersey.

Reed was a former security guard for Princeton University. He recently was a Crossing guard for Ewing Township. He was very well liked and respected. He loved to go deep sea fishing, especially being out on the water, he enjoyed seafood, and you could catch him onthe dance floor at various events. He loved R&B music and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. He would often have lunch and gather with friends at the Hollowbrook Senior Center. He cherished spending time with his significant other and the people he loved. Reed will be remembered for his humor, his strength, and creating enjoyable memories with those who knew and loved him.

Services for Reed will be held on Saturday, September 5th from 10am –12pm at Franklin Rainear Affordable Funeral Service & Cremation, 1310 Prospect Street, Ewing Township, New Jersey 08638 We are inside the Riverside Building.
