It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Shawn Wesley Clark, a cherished father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Born on August 5, 1967, in Trenton, New Jersey, Shawn departed this life on June 30, 2026, at Capital Health Hospital( Helen Fuld) after courageously battling liver failure.

Shawn was the beloved son of Narrisso Magga and James Tootle, both of whom predeceased him. He was also preceded in death by his nephews, Johnnie and Tyriek Clark, and a special cousin, Michelle Jones. Despite these losses, Shawn's spirit remained unbroken, and he continued to embrace life with the same warmth and humor that he was known for.

Educated in the Trenton public school system, Shawn went on to work at THA for a period of time. His dedication to his work was matched only by his resourcefulness; he often supplemented his career with side jobs in car washing, house painting, and maintenance work. Shawn's industrious nature was driven by his desire to provide for his family, especially his treasured grandchildren, for whom he loved to buy gifts on holidays and birthdays.

Shawn's heart was as big as his smile, a smile that could brighten the darkest of days. He had a remarkable ability to light up any room with his humor and love, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met. Always impeccably dressed, Shawn was known for his sharp style and infectious laughter.

Family was the cornerstone of Shawn's life. He leaves behind his beloved children, Isis McNeil and Quantaje Davis, who were his pride and joy. His legacy lives on through his four grandchildren, Asante McNeil, Za’riyah, Za’hir & Z’oey Ingram who brought immeasurable joy to his life. Shawn is also survived by his siblings: Sheila Clark, Crystal Clark, Theresa Clark, and Kevin Clark, Derrick Tootle, Faith Tootle, Darnell Tootle and Phyllis Tootle. A host of nieces and nephews will also carry forward the memories of their beloved uncle.

In accordance with Shawn's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor his life and legacy. The family extends their deepest gratitude to all who have offered support and condolences during this difficult time.

In remembrance of Shawn, the family shares this heartfelt message: “Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. We love you.”
