Susan A. Garzio passed away at 96 on March 27, 2026 at Virtua Mount Holly in Samaritan hospice care.

Born in the Chambersburg area of Trenton, New Jersey, she was a resident of Hamilton over 60 years before moving with her daughter in Southampton, New Jersey. She was a member of Saint Raphael’s/Holy Angels Church, Church of the Holy Eucharist and the Elderberry Club. She worked at Griffith Electric during World War II, various retail work and a bookkeeper. But primarily took care of her family of four children.

Susan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her devotion to her faith was paramount and showed in how she lived her life.

Being a member of Hamilton Township Senior Center for many years, she enjoyed welcoming newcomers offering any assistance to them. She  was also known for giving “mini” massages, with arthritic hands, too many showing her love and compassion for humanity.

She was gifted and self taught how to dance at a young age. This became a lifelong love and therapy through her entire life. She was also known for her great cooking and baking skills which was passed down from her mom.

Predeceased by her husband Frank J. and son Frank B. Garzio, son-in-law, Al Remboske, siblings Leopold, Pasquale, Anthony, Joseph Chianese and Angelina (Lena) Esposito, her parents, Angelo and Assunta (D’Angelo) Chianese.

She is survived by her son Ralph (Diana), daughter, Sandra Remboske, son Joseph, daughter-in-law Jody (D’Andrea) Garzio. She was blessed with five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

The services are under the direction of Franklin H. Rainear, Affordable Funeral Service and Cremation. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 1310 Prospect Street, Ewing, NJ 08638 from 7pm to 8:30pm.

On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, the viewing begins at 9:30 am at Saint Raphael’s/Holy Angels Church, 3500 South Broad St., Hamilton, NJ 08610 Funeral mass will begin at 10:30am. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Lane, Trenton,NJ 08610 .
