Elmer W. Kerlin, 90, died Tuesday, December 7, 2022 at home following a short illness.
Elmer was an only child born to Helen Gomony and William Kerlin. He attended the Trenton School
System and played Varsity basketball for Trenton Central High School in 1949 and 1950receiving a full
basketball scholarship to Rider College for Accounting. He then served his country in the U.S. Army and
was honorably discharged in 1960.
Elmer worked as a Cost Accountant at U.S. Steel, CV Hills, and DeLaval and finally as Treasurer at Prince
Manufacturing where he found his love of tennis and played for the next 40years. Elmer also loved
swimming and vacationing all over the world, attending many Grand Slam Tennis Matches and
worshiping the sun in the Caribbean Islands.
Elmer had six children with his wife, Jacqueline, Kathleen, Douglas, Mark, and William all predeceased.
He is survived by his two sons, Michael and Richard. He also is survived by his eleven grandchildren, Billy
Jr., Danny, Patrick, Shawn, Kelly, Shannon, Alexis, Ashley, Samantha, Kathleen, and Heather and many
great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday December 14, 2022 at 6:00pm at the Franklin H Rainear Jr

Viewing will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the funeral home.

Elmer will be laid to rest at the Ewing Church Cemetery located at 100 Scotch Rd, Ewing, 08628
on Monday December 19.2022 at 11am
