Gail Kirkland was born to Edward Hines Sr.(preceeded in death) and Earnestine(preceeded in death) on 7/6/53 at College Hospital in Newark, N.J. She attended Madison Ave School where she excelled in her studies all the way up until 8th grade. She then went on to Weequhaic High School, where she was one of the top students in the school up until and after graduation. Upon graduating High School, she then went to to Nursing School in Newark, N.J. which she despised and did not finish. She met her sweet heart and forever love Chris Bagley and they had their only child Lisa in 1971.
Gail cherished being a mom to Lisa. She took her everywhere in Newark and beyond without a car(says Lisa). From The Shores of NJ to the Paramount theatres in Newark for movies. Dressing Lisa up like her and all...Gail loved spending time with her family as much as anything in the world. In her leisure time she loved knitting, reading, music, and science fiction Shows on TV, spending as much time as she could with her daughter and grandkids, and watching the Steve Wilkos show and Maury Povich where you can always here her yelling stupid, nasty girls at the women who were accusing guys of being their baby daddies and they weren't.
She leaves to mourn her Daughter Lisa(Rakeem) siblings Edward Jr.(K, Gregory, Vivian(preceeded in death). Her grandkids Isiah Kirkland-Willis, Ahmad Bright, Mia Bright, Rakeem(Mann Mann) and Mykel. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
Gail cherished the time spent with everyone that she came in contact with and she's saying see yall later, not goodbye...she loves everyone and will see y'all on the other side.
