George W. Harper, age 60, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 3, 2020, at Deborah Heart & Lung Center, Browns Mills, NJ.

He was born February 1, 1960, to Jacob and L. Elizabeth Harper (deceased).

He graduated from Allentown High School, Allentown, NJ in June, 1978.  He then graduated from Lincoln Technical School, Union, NJ in 1980.  He married Michelle I. Moore on April 21, 1984.  He worked in the field of HVAC until the early 2000’s when he was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy.

Although unable to continue in his chosen field, George switched gears and put all his energy into the preaching and teaching work of Jehovah’s Witnesses, which he loved so dearly.  George was not only known for his love of the Bible, but for his love of fishing, cooking and laughing at every given opportunity.

He was an inspiration to many who also struggled with illness and life’s disappointments.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Michelle I. Harper and two sons, Charles A. Harper, age 34 of Osprey, FL and Phillip J. Harper, age 30, of Whiting, NJ.

He is predeceased by his sister Juanita Harper of Millstone and foster brother Mark Driver.  He is survived by Jacob Harper, Jr. of FL; Delores Yopp of GA; Lawrence Harper of TN; Lorita Harper of FL, Robert Harper of NJ; as well as a host of spiritual family, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions; services will be privately held.

The family extends thanks to Franklin Rainier Funeral Home, 1310 Prospect St., Ewing, NJ 08638, for their guidance and support during this difficult time.
